It is with regret that we announce that the 2008
WNC Symposium on Learning Disabilitiesand Attention Deficit Disorders
has been cancelled as of October 8, 2008.

Due to the current economic conditions, the fuel shortages throughout
the southeast and the travel moratoriums imposed by many counties
in North Carolina, sufficient registrations were not received to hold the event.

community organization founded in 1990. The success of our conference has been achieved thanks to the dedication
and talent of the members of our Board of Directors and Planning Committee.

The mission of the Western North Carolina Symposium on Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Disorders is:

To facilitate access to educational and resource opportunities within the community;
to provide a forum for discussion and dissemination of current information and trends
about learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders;
to advocate for the welfare and long-term growth of individuals with learning and attention differences.
